Hi, I’m Tracey, alias The Anxious Dragon. A 40 something year old steampunk. I live in the beautiful Forest of Dean with my husband and our three cats Abby, Bertie and Ellie, and the newest addition to the family, our floofbag (cocker spaniel) Coda.

Hooks and Dragons Crochet
Hooks and Dragons crochet is my hobby. I started crocheting in 2016 as a means of dealing with anxiety. I create bespoke crochet creations from unicorns to sports cars, novelty hats to famous mini me figures. My proudest crochet moment to date is knowing that the real Midge Ure (80’s popstar, co-founder of Band Aid and Live Aid) owns one of my mini-me Midges.
Hooks and Dragons The Blog
I started blogging several years ago at a time when I first became aware that I was suffering from depression. Many of my older posts have mental health themes, but a lot more are simply my observations about things in the news, my hobbies such as making crochet creations and all things steampunk, people, and life in general.
My posts are sometimes funny, sometimes helpful and sometimes they will make you completely rethink what you thought about an issue.

ah you crochet! I love crocheting but parenting and the blog has completely taken over life haha! I haven’t crocheted anything for a while. and last projects were baby blankets. I’ve got flipping blankets coming out of my ears now !
